「機装猟兵ガンハウンドEX」は、陸軍第9機装猟兵隊“ガンハウンド”の女性パイロット“ユウリ・ユリアーネ”となり、人型ロボットを操ってミッションの達成を目指すステージクリア型の2Dアクションシューティングゲーム。『1回10時間のプレイより、30分の熱いドラマを100回プレイしてほしい』というコンセプトのもと、全5ステージとその数こそ少ないが、近距離、遠距離、追尾などの多彩な武器と、難易度は高いが理不尽ではなく、しっかり覚えれば確実にクリアできる絶妙なステージ構成を作り上げているのが最大の魅力だ。
